Feel Fine

Since summer is around the corner I thought I'd get the jump and post a mix I did back in 2003. I made this to give out to friends and sell locally. Nothing major or "raer", just some nice joints to max out to. I know Aser and Yosaku made similar one's around that time (those were the inspiration behind this mix) so I'll see if I can find them and post it in the future. Enjoy and don't to try to test my Paintshop Pro gangster.

This came out late last year as a tribute to Dilla by UK's Bullion - not anything Dilla made or a mash up like some folks have said - but all new beats using The Beach Boys (?!). I know it sounds bugged, but it works (some of it very well). I've passed up Pet Sounds for years despite it being touted as one of the greatest records of all time, I just couldn't get past the Cunningham-ness of it. I think it's time I had another listen.

Tinseltown to Boogie Down

Thanks to everyone who came out to Root Down last Thursday. I had a blast. That was the best crowd I've seen there in a minute. Hopefully I'll get some pics but my man is mad FLAKEY! Shout out to Posdnous and Maceo who rolled through at the end.









I pulled this out today while looking for another 12" and thought I'd post it up. I have no idea how this record even happened. 80's British band Scritti Politti and...Psycho Les? Any way it goes, there are some heaters on here and just like that Bas Blasta record the Beatnuts produced, this one is good for the beats. I also recorded the vocal and inst. of the Ali Shaheed Muhammad version which is definitely the best one on the 12".
I know I know, where's the Pete Rock remix? Let's just say its not his best work. If folks want it I'll post it up.
