Coachella Valley Art Scene interview

Most of you probably know I live way the hell out in the desert. While most people have all kinds of ideas of what "Palm Springs" or "Coachella" is, it's probably not what you think. The Coachella Valley Art Scene has been holding it down for the music and art community out here. I recently did an interview with them about the local scene and what I've been working on.
You can check out the interview here.

nice interview Day.....it's tough for a scratch monkey with ecclectic tastes and too many damn records in a city that doesn't quite get the message that Afrika Bambaata was pushin 30 somethin years ago......

Santa Cruz is known for it's skateboards, snowboards, and surfing, sky surfing, mountain bikes, and the beach boardwalk.....it ain't really known for the deejays that came outta here though but we had to represent hard, cause we ain't from the inner city, we're from a surf town, so we gotta practice hard to get respect from the big city deejays....

deejays like Kutmasta Kurt, Jason D (wise up show 88.1 KZSC), Bomb Production Crew - DJ Dren, Kane, Basehead y otros.....Chemical K, deejay zeph, dj imperial, DJ Kelau, The Co-Deez (otayo dubb & sakima), Kiyoshi 1....were all Santa Cruz amazing deejays/producers who were my heroes, influences, and opened my mind to the limitless-ness in this journey......

I would like to hear some innernational crew stuff (I was diggin the "people music" material you had put up, glad to hear people were requestin it cause we were wondering how your music came to be....) and hear about your homies and a little Palm Springs history that created the person who's records (which are my little secret weapons) I always keep in my crates and rock at every house party and show which have very high replay value.....

well, somethin happened at my work and youtube, music web pages, dj blogs, etc....ain't blocked no more so I can actually see and hear what people are puttin up.....I really will leave messages on your posts from the beginning (no, I ain't no stalker, just someone who jocks your records, and dj mixes)......by the way, did you have a gig with Yosaku?? When is "the bottle" remix comin out on vinyl?? I need that and an extended version of the Glue "makin a mess" remix on a 45 in a serious way......

Paz, "a procura a da batida perfeita".....yo, did you pick up that bobby hughes experience "fusa riot" album and 12"s yet?? !Scandanavia! It will improve the quality of life, I guarantee it......

I wanna pick up some of your homie manny's mixes too....sounds interesante.....some cumbia shite from a b-boy's perspective.....

sorry for bein such a rattler, maybe I should have my own blog or somethin but I'm just finally gettin into the whole digital revolution.....I'm like 7 years behind everyone else......
