A pioneer, a great producer, a label head, and, in my opinion, the dude with the very best lines in "Rockers":
"You want to sell my records?" and "I don't give records...I sell records. Tek this box. Tek it and gwan!"
So many of my favorite 7-inches bear the Gibbs label. He left behind an incredible legacy.
